Penguin Awards 2022 Submission

This books overriding theme is the idea of 'journey's as it follows thirteen characters throughout their lives. Most of the main characters are from Afro-caribbean descent. I wanted to represent the significance of the cultures in the book on this cover by keeping strong patterns and colours that are synonymous with afro-caribbean cultures. I also wanted to include the idea of 'journeys' which is why I encorporated a map like pattern into the cover.
